Year-round chimney protection is made easy with the ChimneySaver Water-Based Water Repellent with Stain Blockers.
For flexible waterproof sealant any time of the year, simply coat on the mixture with a paint brush for unmatched defense. The solution penetrates the masonry up to 1/4 inches or more, ensuring protection against water damage and leakage. Designed to protect and stop masonry from palling, stains, chloride attack, freeze and thaw damage, loss of insulation value, deterioration, corrosion, and efflorescence, this repellent is useful for all types of protection.
Brushing on the repellent creates a chemical reaction between the masonry minerals and the presence of ultraviolet light and atmospheric moisture. Strong bonds are formed beneath the surface of the masonry, creating a hydrophobic zone, which stops water molecules from penetrating the surface. This chemical bond produces incredibly strong and long-lasting protection year-round.
